The module target audience, are CP engineers and Contractors working on the Openreach network including BT Northern Ireland. It covers the installation of sub-duct/cable up to 25mm diameter.
Course Content
This assessment will involve a questionnaire to test the delegate’s knowledge of sub-duct/cable installation in the Openreach underground network and the completion of a ‘live’ installation job to the correct quality standard. This will be completed in a live or simulated situation utilising the current methodology employed by the CP to install their sub-duct and/or cable. This can be mechanised or manual. A CP cable shall be installed in a minimum of 2 duct sections (3 x Joint boxes) containing Openreach network cabling.
